If your Powerheart AED needs a home on a finished wall and nobody wants to cut drywall, this is the cabinet to pick. The surface mount version sits entirely on the wall, so it can go up on block, brick or drywall without opening the wall. That also makes it easy to move later. The trade-off is depth: the box stands out about 7 inches, so in a narrow hallway it is the one people will brush past, and a recessed cabinet may suit that spot better.

Choosing a Style

Basic has no alarm, so the door opens silently. It fits staffed spaces where theft is unlikely. Alarmed sounds a siren as soon as the door opens, which calls people to the scene and discourages tampering. Alarm & Strobe adds a flashing light, useful in loud places such as warehouses, gyms and shop floors, where a siren alone can go unheard.
