What's in the Box
A Slim Medic Bag That Rides on Armor
NAR built the NAR-4 to give a medic a full load without bulk. The outer bag carries as a backpack with straps that stow away, or attaches to body armor with four rapid attachment straps. Inside, five removable pouches can be set up for the medic's own skills and mission.
The Bag
- 500D CORDURA Berry Amendment nylon with GhillieTEX hardware for a lower IR signature
- Zippers that resist sand and water and repair themselves, with quiet 550 cord pulls
- Front and side PALS/MOLLE-style webbing
- Roughly 19 by 15 by 7 inches closed; about 12 pounds 8 ounces stocked
- Colors: Black, Coyote, OD Green and MultiCam, each with QuikClot Combat Gauze or ChitoGauze PRO
Contents (Combat Gauze Version, as NAR Lists It)
- 2 black C-A-T tourniquets, 4 S-rolled gauze and 2 QuikClot Combat Gauze Z-fold
- 2 six-inch ETDs and 1 abdominal ETD
- 1 twin pack of HyFin Vent chest seals and 2 ARS needle decompression kits (14 gauge by 3.25 inches)
- 2 NAR 28F nasopharyngeal airways with lube, a King LTS-D supraglottic airway, a Cyclone BVM, a Tactical Suction Device and a Tactical CricKit
- A BOA IV constricting band, 4 NAR saline lock kits and a NAR Sharps Shuttle
- A CT-6 traction splint and 2 SAM Splint II

Good to Know
The airway devices, needle decompression and IV supplies in this kit are for trained medical providers working within their own protocols. Every casualty treated from it still needs emergency medical care.
