What's in the Box

A Thin, Light Long Board With Raised Hand-Holds

Moving a patient who may have a spine injury calls for a board that stays rigid, is easy to grip and slides into tight spaces. The NAR Spine Board is 1.75 inches thin and weighs 14 pounds, and NAR rates it for a 1,000 pound payload. An open leg triangle and full-length molded runners give it stiffness and keep the 14 oversized hand-holds off the ground, so lifters can get their fingers under them. NAR says the flat patient surface does not aggravate cervical spine injuries or get in the way of CPR. The tapered shape and the runners help with extrication, logrolling and lifting.

Made for Cleaning and Imaging

The shell is rotomolded HDPE with a light surface texture to reduce slipping, and it cleans and disinfects easily. NAR lists the board as compatible with X-ray, CT and MR imaging. Four interior slots take pediatric strapping or separate leg straps.
