Rotaid Solid Plus AED Wall Cabinet

The Rotaid Solid Plus is built for places where a steel box with a glass door would not last: entrances, parking areas, sports fields, train platforms and plant floors. Its round, clear polycarbonate cover is easy to spot from a distance and comes off with one twist, so a bystander has the AED in hand in seconds. A belt keeps the cover attached to the back, so nobody has to deal with a loose door during a rescue. The plain Solid Plus works indoors and outdoors where it stays above 41°F (5°C). For freezing sites you need the heated model, which we do not list here.

Choosing a Cabinet Type

Solid Plus Alarmed is the standard cabinet. A siren sounds as soon as the cover is twisted off, which calls people to the scene and discourages tampering. It needs no power: the alarm runs on two AA batteries (included). 24/7 Connected adds Rotaid’s connectivity, with its own SIM card on 2G and 4G LTE-M networks and a GPS antenna. It sends email or text alerts when the cabinet is opened, when the AED is taken out or put back, and when it hears the AED’s self-test failure tone. It also tracks pad and battery expiration dates, and if the cabinet is moved, it shows the new location on a map. You manage all of it in Rotaid’s web portal, which several people can share. The 1, 3 or 5 years is the length of the monitoring service and portal access included with the cabinet.
