Tactical Extrication Device (TED)

Escape Ready Evacuation for Confined, High Threat Spaces

The Tactical Extrication Device, known as TED, is built to solve the most difficult casualty movement problems, specifically in confined, high threat environments. TED is a non rigid evacuation platform sized so two rescuers can rapidly move a casualty where stretchers or boards cannot fit. Medical teams, tactical squads, and transport teams use TED to extract and move casualties from stairwells, narrow corridors, vehicle interiors, and building basements. At a mere 1 lb 8 oz and folding to a compact package, TED reduces bulk for patrols and entry teams while supporting up to 600 lb, making it practical for adult casualty movement in combat, pre hospital, and law enforcement operations.

Minimal Bulk, Maximum Mobility

TED is engineered to be significantly lighter and more compact than other non rigid portable stretchers, allowing teams to carry essential evacuation capability without sacrificing mobility. When folded, TED measures approximately 5 in. high by 10.25 in. wide by 3.5 in. deep, so it stows easily in packs, vehicles, or kit bags. Open, the platform is 43.5 in. long by 19 in. wide, providing a stable surface for most adult casualties. TED ships in a transport friendly storage bag with an adjustable shoulder strap, enabling single person carry of the kit, and two person casualty carry during extrication operations.

Built to Withstand Repeated Use in Harsh Conditions

Durability is central to TEDs design, with materials chosen for tear resistance, ease of decontamination, and long service life under operational use. The non rigid construction combines strong load bearing webbing and tough fabric panels to distribute weight evenly, enabling a 600 lb load limit while maintaining a very low carried weight of 1 lb 8 oz. Reinforced handles and attachment points stand up to repetitive one person and two person handling, and the storage bag protects the system during transport and storage. The result is an evacuation tool that performs reliably in dirty, wet, and austere conditions typical of tactical and pre hospital deployments.

Multi Mission Versatility Across Tactical and Civilian Roles

TED is adaptable across a wide range of missions, from battlefield extraction to urban rescue and disaster response. Its compact folded size makes it ideal for patrol medics, vehicle crews, and confined space rescue teams who need evacuation capability without heavy gear. The design supports rapid transition between carry and casualty movement modes, so medic teams, law enforcement entry teams, and fire rescue units can integrate TED into existing TACEVAC, casualty movement, and extraction procedures. The included storage bag with adjustable shoulder strap simplifies logistics, letting units stage TED with other trauma or evacuation equipment for immediate use.
